PRIMAL NORWAY — TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions govern participation in all courses, expeditions, workshops, and activities organized by Primal Norway (Org. N. 936947816). By booking or participating, you agree to these terms.
2. Nature of Activities and Assumption of Risk
Primal Norway provides wilderness and survival training, which involves inherent risk,s including, but not limited to:
Exposure to weather and natural hazards
Uneven terrain and remote environments
Use of knives, axes, saws, and other tools
Fire building and campfire management
Physical exertion and fatigue
Wildlife encounters
Slips, falls, and injuries
Participants acknowledge these risks and voluntarily accept full responsibility for their participation.
3. Participant Responsibility
Participants must:
Follow all instructions given by instructors
Act responsibly and prioritize safety
Respect nature and Leave No Trace principles
Inform the Company of any relevant medical conditions
Use equipment safely and appropriately
Failure to comply may result in removal from the activity without refund.
4. Health and Fitness Declaration
Participants confirm they are physically and mentally capable of participating.
You must disclose:
Medical conditions
Allergies
Injuries
Medications affecting performance or safety
Primal Norway reserves the right to refuse participation if safety is compromised.
5. Instructor Authority
The instructor has full authority regarding safety decisions, route changes, activity modifications, or cancellation due to weather or other risks. All participants must comply immediately.
6. Equipment and Tools
Participants may be required to use tools including knives, axes, and fire equipment.
Participants accept responsibility for:
Proper use
Personal safety
Following instruction
Primal Norway is not liable for injuries resulting from misuse or negligence.
7. Insurance
Participants are strongly encouraged to carry:
Personal accident insurance
Travel insurance
Medical coverage
Participants are responsible for any medical or evacuation costs.
8. Emergency and Evacuation
In the event of an emergency:
The Company will coordinate assistance
Participants are responsible for associated costs unless covered by insurance
9. Booking and Payment
Bookings are confirmed upon payment or deposit as specified during registration.
10. Cancellation Policy
Participant cancellation:
More than 30 days before — refund minus administrative fee
14–30 days — partial refund or credit
Less than 14 days — no refund
Primal Norway may cancel due to:
Extreme weather
Safety concerns
Insufficient participants
In such cases, participants will receive rescheduling or refund options.
11. Weather and Environmental Conditions
Courses operate in natural environments where conditions can change rapidly. Participants must be prepared for discomfort and changing plans.
12. Behaviour Policy
Unsafe or disruptive behaviour, including:
Ignoring safety instructions
Substance misuse
Aggressive conduct
may result in immediate removal without refund.
13. Photography and Media
Primal Norway may capture photos or videos during activities for marketing, documentation, or educational purposes.
Participants consent to this unless they notify the Company in writing prior to the course.
14. Liability Limitation
To the maximum extent permitted by Norwegian law, Primal Norway is not liable for:
Injuries arising from inherent risks
Personal equipment loss or damage
Events beyond reasonable control
Nothing excludes liability where prohibited by law.
15. Force Majeure
Primal Norway is not responsible for failure or delay due to:
Severe weather
Natural disasters
Government restrictions
Transport disruption
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by Norwegian law. Any disputes shall be handled in Norway.
